Over the past twenty-five years, she has worked as both a management and marketing consultant throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America with a diverse list of companies including: AT&T, Bank of America, IBM, Avis Rent A Car, Johnson & Johnson, Apple and Xerox.

She is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and has presented to: The Young Presidents’ Association, The American Management Association, The American Marketing Association, The Direct Marketing Association and The American Society of Consumer Affairs, among others.

In addition to her work as a speaker, Karen has been hired as a spokesperson for such companies as IBM, Apple Computer, Bank of America, John Hancock and others. Ms. Leland’s spokesperson projects on behalf of her clients have involved giving keynote speeches and workshops, providing radio and television interviews, presenting at trade shows and conferences and meeting with members of the press.

For a period of five years, Inc. magazine chose Karen as one of their primary judges for The Inc. Positive Performer Award, which honors companies that have achieved an outstanding level of business excellence. She was one of two people responsible for selecting the winning finalists from among 500 applicants.

In addition to her work in the business world, Ms. Leland has had a lifelong commitment to the arts and has been an exhibiting artist in The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara and The American Craft Council Show.
